Today I started work on getting the fenders cleaned up. I went and bought a package of cutting disks for my dremel, went home and started work. Here is a photo of the back driver side fender;
It looks pretty agresive but I had to do it this way to fix some issues with the wheel well. The next photo is after I made some cut with my dremel.
I made tabs about every inch, I needed to be able to fold the tabs under and meet up with the wheel well.. The next photo is how I solved one of the wheel well issues.
I was having some problems trying to get the wheel well where I needed it. I would smack it with a sledge but it was working very well. So I stuck my jack under there and the metal decided to behave.
This is where I ended my jeep work for the day (ran out of cutting disks). It looks a little jagged on the edge but this is due to chipped paint. I haven't sanded the edge yet. But I plan to sand, and spray paint with the some bed liner. I'll post more when I get back to work on her.
